Fonon Facility

FTI executed the lease for a new facility approximately 319,800 sq feet of prime office manufacturing, and engineering, space in Lake Mary, FL with intention to buy the entire facility averaging 400.000 sq feet. This prime piece of real estate is centrally located in-between Interstate 4 and Rinehart road. This allows for easy access via Interstate 4 and is approximately 20 minutes from downtown Orlando. This property also offers an employee recreation facility with outdoor tennis courts and can be equipped with state-of-the art fitness equipment to promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles of employees.

This location also enables FTI to expand its research and manufacturing capabilities while allowing for future vertical and horizontal expansion efforts. With 65% of the facility dedicated solely to manufacturing, FTI will now be able to hold an inventory of standardized systems, decreasing lead times dramatically and enabling FTI to become the first manufacturer of standardized Fiber Laser marking systems. The new facility is necessary to compensate for the rapid growth FTI is experiencing and accommodation of a newly developed product range like Generation 8 FPD and Solar Systems and High Power Fiber laser Cutting systems. The additional space will also contribute to practicing Lean Manufacturing principles for Fonon DSS and ASP.
