Founder and CEO of Fonon Technology International, Inc., Dr. Nikitin has been involved in the laser and electronics industries for over 20 years. He has participated in and co-developed over 100 inventions and applications related to Surface Processing, Zero Width Laser Cutting Technology™, Laser Separation, Laser Welding and Laser Marking Technologies. He holds numerous patents and pending patent applications for inventions devised using his broad scientific and manufacturing experience. Dr. Nikitin attended the Moscow Power Engineering University where he earned a Ph.D. degree in Science. In addition he was awarded the title of Academia from the Academy of Radio Electronics Sciences of Russia and the Ukraine. Dr. Nikitin co-developed numerous industrial technological processes and prototype laser systems at the Institute of Precise Technologies, also owned by Dr. Nikitin. Dr. Nikitin founded Fonon International GmbH in Vienna, Austria, an R&D Company involved in the development and patenting of new laser technology and equipment. Dr. Nikitin licensed his patents to companies such as Schott and Jenoptik to fund his further development of advanced laser processing equipment. In 1997, Dr. Nikitin immigrated to the United States and set up Fonon Technology International in Orlando, FL. The company is actively involved in designing and manufacturing advanced laser technologies for applications in the fastest growing segment of the semiconductor market. Users of these technologies are the largest semiconductor manufacturers in the U.S. and in Asia. Due to his knowledge, he became a recognized speaker at international conferences related to advanced laser material processing technologies.
Svetlana Nikitin is currently responsible for financial operations. She has been actively involved with the company since 2001. She received her Economist Diploma from the highly regarded Moscow Institute of Economy and began her career at the Scientific and Production Association in the Ministry of Electronics of the Soviet Union. Throughout her business career she has worked in the area of Economics and Finance, specializing in International transactions, electronic banking, and accounting staff supervision.
Norman Cote Jr. has worked for AT&T for 23 years and is currently a IT Group Director at AT&T. Currently residing in Lake Mary, FL, he graduated from Framingham State College in Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and then graduated from Fitchburg State College in Massachusetts with a Master of Science Degree in Leadership and Management. Mr. Cote also attended the University of Maryland in 1990 and obtained his certificate in Training Development to continue on at Rollins College in 1992 for his certificate in Customer Service and Human Resources. He attended Duke University’s Executive Education in 1993, AT&T School of Business in 1996 for his mini MBA in Global Business and Indiana University’s Executive Education in 1997. He is very active in several community organizations, serving on the Science Center Board of Directors, and in Seminole County School District Advisory Board.
