Background

Fonon Technology International (FTI) is the world-renowned inventor and manufacturer of laser equipment, based on Zero Width Laser Cutting Technology® (ZWLCT®) in the semiconductor and flat panel display industry. FTI is a leader of innovative and effective laser and industrial products, with a focus in high-growth industries for advanced laser-based material processing equipment.  Fonon Technology International, a Nevada corporation, was formed to acquire and consolidate all operations and brands. FTI holds exclusive rights to all patents and inventions and fully owns the Laser Photonics, Fonon DSS and Laser Depot brand names. FTI has also recently developed a brand to specifically target the solar panel industry; Advanced Solar Photonics.

Fonon Technology was established in 1991 as an R&D company by a group of high-level scientists and engineers as a result of research and development in three major worldwide patented technologies in the hi-tech industry: Fiber Laser Material Processing Technology®, Zero Width Laser Cutting Technology®, Solid State Lapping® (SSL®), and Quartz Laser Welding Technology® (QLWT®).

From 1995 to 2000, FTI licensed an exceptional number of technologies to world-renowned companies which provided the capital for company growth and major R&D activity. In 2002 FTI acquired Laser Photonics - a high tech laser equipment manufacturing company in Florida to commercialize the accumulated intellectual property in the form of material processing equipment. In 2006, FTI opened a new laser manufacturing facility in Florida for OEM products. FTI markets and distributes its industrial and high-tech equipment through its different brand identities.  These brands allow FTI to cater to completely different market segments and use three different marketing strategies to penetrate each market individually.
